ASBU Vice Rector and Director of the Application and Research Center for Competition and Regulation Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent delivered a talk entitled “Regulation of Social Media in Germany and Türkiye” at the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) on 1 November 2021. Addressing RTÜK staff, Prof. Dr. Kent discussed the impact of social media on society and the significance of misinformation. Comparing social media regulation in Turkish and German legal practice, he emphasized the need for regulation to safeguard social peace.
